The necklace will be placed in a drawing to help raise money for a mural in the new Birth Suites at Holmes Regional Medical Center. For a $5 donation, per ticket, you have a chance to win the necklace, valued at over $1,100. The pendant is made of 14-karat gold with a Mother of Pearl inlay. Four brilliant cut diamonds accentuate the bail and the center of the pendant contains a .55 carat morganite. The chain is 1 8 inches long, 14-karat yellow gold, with a lobster claw clasp. "The necklace is exquisite," says Grace Gillis, coordinator for the Health First Foundation. "A special thank you also goes to the Holmes Regional Medical Center Women's Healthcare Advisory Council who helped make this possible by sponsoring the drawing." Proceeds will help provide a mural for the new Birth Suites, to be completed this fall. Local designer Merle Phillip of "Kiddin Around" will design the mural.
